Let the Spirit of Christ Rise Within You! Happy Easter
We at Port Orange Presbyterian Church know that many of our children and their families will be missing their Easter traditions, activities and fun this year. As a way to help connect our kids to their faith we have assembled some alternative Easter activities that can be used with your children (and adults!)
Kids can draw eggs on sidewalks for neighbors or cut eggs out of paper and place them in front windows.
This is just a short video about the Easter story. It is made for children and animated but does show some of the crowd hitting Jesus and blood on his face. https://youtu.be/z-39h0xYqdE
Preschool Easter printable pack: This printable pack is geared toward preschoolers and features activities to help them learn the story of Easter as well as work on some basic preschool skills such as letter recognition and formation, cutting, fine motor skills practice with using clothes pins, counting, patterns, and more.
Resurrection egg cards: You print and put these in plastic Easter eggs that you have at home to tell the Easter story or number the backs and hide the cards around the house for a fun scavenger hunt and then tell the story once the kids have found all the cards. They can also color these in if they would like. If unable to print, you can use these as a way to just tell the story verbally and invite kids to draw pictures related to each card.
