Meet the Pastor
Pastor Calvin H. Gittner, Rev, DMin
We are proud Presbyterians who believe in a connectional church, where all members are allowed and encouraged to use their gifts in service to God. We come out of the reformed tradition with all that entails. Come to my next new members’ class to learn more. From a practical sense, we believe the stories of the Bible point us to God who loves us and wants to be in a relationship with all of us. We have some creeds and confessions that help to guide us, but we don’t ask anyone to check their mind at the door. We believe that God alone is the Lord of your conscience and faith, and that it is our calling to help each other learn and grow.
We also believe that the best theology and beliefs come out of relationships, friendships and conversations. So, if you really want to know what we are about at Port Orange Presbyterian Church, pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and let’s talk about how God is at work in your life and in ours.
Pastor Emeritus, Rev. Richard L. Hills

We all are on a journey of faith
POPC seeks to welcome all members of the community and to walk with them on their journeys of faith. We believe that God’s love and grace is a gift available to all who seek it. We believe our mission is to be a place where all can feel a sense of belonging and find opportunities to learn and grow in their faith. We are confident that you will discover a friendly, open and sincere family at Port Orange Presbyterian Church.
“As you have done to the least of these..”
Port Orange Presbyterian church has accepted the invitation of our denomination, the Presbyterian Church (USA) to join in the Matthew 25 initiative, by becoming active disciples who are making a difference in our community, and in the world.
