Conversations with Rev. Dr. Robert Gamble

Tuesday March 22, 2022

6:00-6:45 pm (informal conversations)

7:00 pm   Presentation – with Q & A

Port Orange Presbyterian Church

4662 S. Clyde Morris Ave, Port Orange, FL 32128

All of us are horrified by the graphic images coming out of Ukraine due to the death and destruction caused by the Russian invasion.  Dr. Gamble is a U.S. citizen and was living in Kyiv before and during the first 3 weeks of the war.   He not only brings a firsthand account of the trauma and devastation that is unfolding for the people of Ukraine and throughout eastern Europe, but he also offers a faith-based perspective on the war and how we as people of faith are being challenged to respond.

Rev. Dr. Gamble has been working for the past 15 years with at-risk youth and families in Ukraine as the Executive Director of This Child Here, a validated ministry in the Presbyterian Church and a U.S. 501c3 Believing (all) children deserve a life grounded in peace and dignity

He will share with us the work that This Child Here is currently doing to support families in need of direct financial aid and support.  He will also share his thoughts on the next level of support programs that will be needed to help the people of Ukraine, especially children, and youth, process their deep physical, emotional and spiritual trauma.   For more information go to:  thischildhere.org

There will be time for questions and answers.

This presentation is open to the general public; especially to those who are seeking a deeper understanding of the war in Ukraine and are wrestling with how to faithfully respond.

We are hoping to simulcast this event: log on to our website at 6:55 for a link:   www.popreschurch.com
